Pre-Production
A Way Home had its initial scope to develop a spaceship game that used elements of the survival and stealth genres due to the lack of spaceship games that address these genres.
The project aimed to create a dense and dark space sci-fi atmosphere, where the player would have to survive the extreme conditions of space, manage their ship's supplies, and avoid enemies while passing through each level.

Development
Forcing stealth, but without being frustrating
Way Home took a lot of inspiration from classics like Metroid for its atmosphere. However, he tackles an entirely different genre. The game's design was created with the idea that the players must avoid enemies and be as stealthy as possible. The players do not have any form of direct attack. The enemies have a high lethality, but they are quickly identified - ensuring that the players always have a good response time and hide before being seen. Ensuring that players will have a stealthy strategy as it makes it easy and not frustrating.

Results
Working in a group in a remote environment
A Way Home was my first experience working on a fully remote team, and at the same time, it was the first time I had responsibilities as a project manager for a team.
This project was essential to developing my management and planning skills and deepening my knowledge in collaborative tools like Jira and Confluence. It was fascinating having to deal with a remote work environment and, at the same time managing it.
